Pen culture system
- CRPS developed & demonstrated in wetlands of Assam, West Bengal and Kerala
- Climate resilient species like Systomus sarana and Labeo bata along with IMCs were raised
- S. sarana and L. bata achieved a final weight of 124±38.82g and 65±18.29g respectively in 180 days with more than 75% survival
- These fishes observed to mature in the CRPS system
- Mature fish raised in CRPS released in wetlands for stock enhancement
- Black clams (Villorita cyprinoides) and Pearl spot (Etroplus suratensis) were also raised in pen system in Vembanad lake, Kerala
- Natural spawning of the SIFs (Amblypharyngodon mola, Gudusia chapra, Puntius sophore) achieved in pens
