Fish distribution & breeding

• Shifts in range distribution, catch composition, invasion of exotics and reduction of fish yield
• Reduced spawn availability of carps in river Ganga
• Geographical shift of some of the warm water fishes (Glossogobius giuris, Puntius ticto, Xenentodon cancila and Mystus vittatus) to cold areas in river Ganga
